Team Training

HOCKEY TEAM TRAINING:

Option A: 

1.5 hour session – 2 Training Stations / 2 Trainers – Two Acceleration trainers will be assigned to each station of your choosing (treadmill and puck handling or plyometrics).
:45 skating treadmill
:45 puck handling or plyometrics (team decision)

Option B: 

1 hour session – 2 Training Stations / 2 Trainers – Two Acceleration trainers will be assigned to each station of your choosing (treadmill and puck handling or plyometrics).
:30 skating treadmill
:30 puck handling or plyometrics (team decision)

EXPLANATION OF HOCKEY STATIONS:

Skating Treadmill –

Athletes will work with an Acceleration trainer to develop ideal skating mechanics that emphasize proper knee bend, stride length, skate recovery, upper body control, power, efficiency and speed. Skating bouts will replicate the intensity and fatigue levels achieved in game situations in order to develop the skater’s aerobic and anaerobic thresholds.

Plyometrics –

Athletes will work with an Acceleration trainer performing multi-directional floor drills to increase their boundaries of movement, body control, foot speed, lower body explosiveness and core stability to ensure maximum power and control on the ice.

Puck handling / Shooting –

Teams can work with an Acceleration trainer or design their own program for puck handling and shooting. Take advantage of our synthetic plactic ice to fine tune your players’ puck handling and shooting skills.

ALL OTHER SPORTS TEAM TRAINING:

Option A: 1.5 hour session – 2 Training Stations / 2 Trainers – Two Acceleration trainers will be assigned to each station (treadmill and plyometrics/strength training).

Running Treadmill –

Athletes will work with an Acceleration trainer to develop ideal mechanics that emphasize foot strike, knee lift, stride length, stride frequency, power, efficiency and speed. Treadmill bouts will replicate the intensity and fatigue levels achieved in game situations in order to develop the athlete’s aerobic and anaerobic thresholds.

Plyometrics / Strength Training –

Athletes will work with an Acceleration trainer performing multi-directional floor drills to increase their boundaries of movement, body control, foot speed and developing upper body strength, lower body explosiveness and core stability to ensure maximum power and control on the field.
